What Most People Don’t Know
There’s a lot the jewelry industry doesn’t openly talk about. Much of what we’re told about diamonds — especially mined ones — is marketing, not truth. Most mined diamonds are not rare. In fact, over 100 million carats are extracted from the earth every year. Rarity, as it’s sold to the public, is engineered through limited supply and heavy advertising, not true scarcity.
And when it comes to resale value, the narrative is equally misleading. Most diamonds, mined or lab-grown, depreciate in value once purchased. The difference is that lab-grown diamonds are upfront about that reality — they aren’t sold under the illusion of being investments, but rather as honest, beautiful symbols of personal significance.
One of the most important truths is this: lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. Chemically, physically, and optically identical to those pulled from the ground. They are formed with the same carbon structure, the same hardness, the same fire and brilliance — the only difference is their origin. One is created in a lab. The other is carved from the earth.
Even so-called “conflict-free” mined diamonds aren’t always what they seem. Many pass through complex supply chains that blur ethical accountability. Labels may offer peace of mind, but true transparency is nearly impossible without full control from source to setting. That’s why Luxe Aimé uses lab-grown — because it allows us to own the entire story, and be honest about every step.
Our Diamonds: Grown with Intention, Chosen with Obsession
Not all lab-grown diamonds are created equal. At Luxe Aimé, we work exclusively with cutting-edge growth labs using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) methods — processes that replicate the heat and pressure found deep in the earth’s mantle, but without the environmental or human toll.
Growing a diamond takes weeks — and even then, most won’t meet our standards. We personally inspect every grow batch, rejecting far more stones than we accept. Out of a thousand diamonds grown, fewer than ten meet the criteria we hold. Because for us, it’s not enough to have a clean certificate or hit the right measurements on paper. A Luxe Aimé diamond must feel alive. It must hold light with clarity and soul. It must stir something.

Sustainability isn’t a claim for us — it’s something we can actually show. Lab-grown diamonds don’t just avoid the environmental destruction of traditional mining. They are fundamentally cleaner.
We use no earth displacement. No open-pit scars. No heavy diesel machinery tearing into landscapes. There’s no toxic runoff into local water sources. No deforestation. No broken ecosystems.
There’s also no need for complex international shipping chains or politically unstable labor markets. Because the diamonds are grown clean, close, and under control. The entire process uses dramatically fewer natural resources — up to 95% less water and up to 85% fewer carbon emissions, depending on the lab and energy source.
Most importantly, lab-grown diamonds eliminate the ethical shadows that have hung over the mined diamond industry for generations. There is no forced labor. No child labor.
